Impact Framework
A global network of experts collaborated for two years to develop this comprehensive set of metrics that create an impact assessment framework for global health R&D.
We are pleased to make this available to the whole global health R&D community. This framework will help you create impact statements and make the case for investment.
PDF of the frameworkThere are 8 domains in the framework, all of which would enable you to measure a type of impact. We've compiled a fact sheet for each domain to help you understand it in more depth and to decide how you will measure impact. The domains are:
- Research Activity
- Research Outputs
- Knowledge Sharing & Creation
- Human & Organisational Capacity
- Access Enablers
- Access Outcomes
- Health Impact
- Economic Impact
A menu of impact indicators to choose from
Each of these domains has a menu of indicators which give you a flexible range of options to select which are most relevant for your project or question. You can select from this menu based on different approaches to assessment.
We have compiled a factsheet for each domain.
PDF of the factsheetsEach domain factsheet covers these elements and gives you a step by step guide to measuring and articulating impact in that domain.
