About

Amelia relies on her background in basic science research and her keen interest in infectious diseases to assist in the application of the G-FINDER neglected disease and emerging infectious disease scope to the grants reported by funders and recipients, as well as conducting landscape reviews of the product development pipeline for these global health areas. She is also responsible for the creation a knowledge sharing platform, facilitating learning and development across the Impact Global Health team.

Amelia has seven years of experience as a Teaching Associate at the University of Technology, Sydney, focusing on microbiology and epidemiology. Prior to joining Policy Cures Research, she worked as a Research Assistant at the University of New South Wales, focusing on immunisation coverage in Australian Indigenous populations, and interned in the Global Influenza Programme at the World Health Organization, assessing burden of disease and monitoring influenza incidence.

Amelia’s PhD focused on the assembly of bacterial communities and her academic work is featured in the journal Nature Communications.
