Lindsay is responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy of Impact Global Health’s work. Her team is composed of medical doctors and scientists who provide the science, global health and medical knowledge to the organisation and keep up to date with shifting research and development landscape. This detailed understanding of global health diseases and R&D is used to conceptualise new projects and set the scope of work to ensure the data collected is accurate and relevant to global health.
Lindsay and her team are also responsible for ensuring that staff stay up to date with all things global health and how Impact Global Health's data can be used to influence R&D priority setting and global health policy.
Lindsay draws on her background as a medical doctor specialising in child health, as a scientist with experience from basic research through to clinical development, and experience in global health funding and R&D. She joined Impact Global Health from Wellcome where, among other things, she led initiatives to improve access to monoclonal antibodies in low- and middle-income countries, to support the delivery of critical care in low resource settings and to improve nutrition science. She is fascinated by innovative clinical trial design and is passionate about using data to better inform global health priorities and policy. Outside of her role in Impact Global Health, Lindsay is a trustee of the charity Crohn’s and Colitis UK where she chairs the Research Strategy and Funding committee.
