In his role as our Technical Lead, Vipul uses his clinical experience to track the neglected disease product pipeline and to provide real-world context in determining whether grants fall within the G-FINDER survey’s scope.
Vipul has over 15 years’ experience in the field of global health, working initially in India with the Department of Health. Vipul has worked for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) since 2004, initially as a field doctor. He was recently the Country Representative for MSF in Liberia for the Ebola epidemic response, prior to that he was the head of MSF operations in Nigeria and Yemen. Vipul has worked in various positions with MSF in developing country contexts, including in Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Liberia, Malawi, Sri Lanka and Yemen. He was involved in the G-FINDER project from its inception and supported the Policy Cures team as a consultant working on the Indian neglected disease R&D funding landscape.
