Bachelor of Science (Microbiology); Master of Science (Biotechnology; D.Phil. in Clinical Medicine.

Indra obtained his D.Phil. in clinical medicine from the University of Oxford, specializing in vaccine development against malaria (P. falciparum). With a robust scientific background and extensive experience in the vaccine industry, he played a pivotal role in the clinical advancement of the ChAdOx1-nCOV19 vaccine, developed jointly by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moreover, he contributed significantly to the Office of COVAX Facility, offering support to vaccine and technical policy teams, as well as the Independent Product Group Secretariat (IPG), in monitoring the landscape of COVID-19 vaccine development, vaccination strategy, and its implications for the COVAX portfolio.

Before joining PCR, he spearheaded the mRNA vaccine program at Bio Farma Indonesia in collaboration with organizations such as WHO, the Medicine Patent Pool (MPP), and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI). Indra’s overarching objective is to enhance global health equity by harnessing cutting-edge technology in pharmaceutical research and development.
