With an experimental background in hypertensive diseases of pregnancy, focusing on preeclampsia, Nathan applies this expertise to support the Accelerating Innovation for Mothers (AIM) project with Impact Global Health, with the aim of drawing attention to significant and underrepresented pregnancy-related conditions and diseases. In addition to this crucial area of research, Nathan has previously examined stroke, gestational diabetes, and migraine. Most recently, he has investigated the use of pravastatin to ameliorate myometrial artery endothelial dysfunction in preeclamptic pregnancies.

Nathan is also an Associate Lecturer of Medicine at Western Sydney University, where he significantly contributes to the Graduate Sonography program, specializing in vascular, cardiac, and obstetrics & gynecology. Additionally, Nathan holds an Associate Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy and serves as the NSW state representative for the Australian and New Zealand Microcirculation Society.
