About

Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Global Studies; Bachelor of Science (Honours); Master of Public Health

Tiana is a Master of Public Health student at the University of Sydney with a specific interest in global communicable disease control. She also holds a double Bachelor of Science (climate science and conservation ecology) and Global Studies from Monash University and an Honours degree in health geography from the University of Melbourne.

Tianas goal is to apply her interdisciplinary knowledge in environmental and social sciences to assess upstream drivers of the emergence and transmission of zoonoses, and in turn, sustainable development solutions. She also has a keen interest in community development and participation in health initiatives. For example, with the support of the Aurora Foundation, she recently contributed to a systematic review of the perceptions and experiences of Aboriginal diabetes patients accessing primary care.

Prior to joining PCR, Tiana took part in several sustainability programs, including participating in the International Conference for Sustainable Development in NY as a student delegate. More recently, she worked in the NSW Health COVID-19 Response team.
