Answers to the questions you have

We rebranded from Policy Cures Research to Impact Global Health in October 2024, and at the same time launched a new website designed to answer questions you have on global health funding, the product pipeline and the impact of R&D. With such a range of information out there, and the tight timeframes we often work to, our priority was to make the data, insights and tools we provide as accessible and digestible as possible.

Here are our top tips for using our website to get answers to your questions.

1. Where's the latest funding and pipeline data?

Head to Data to access G-FINDER, the Infectious Disease R&D Tracker, the Maternal Health Pipeline, and the Snakebite Envenoming Medicines Database.

We've also created some quick video tutorials to help you use the G-FINDER database.

2. How do I find out the latest funding for a particular disease, or what products are in the pipeline?

We've created a Health Areas section which gives you a snapshot overview of every disease or condition we track, with the latest R&D funding and insights into the pipeline.

You can also filter G-FINDER by disease to get an easy visualization of the funding, products, funders and recipients of funding over the years that we have collected the data.

3. How do I find the latest reports relevant to me?

Our report library presents all the reports, insights and methodologies we have published, open access and easy to browse. You can filter by health area, disease or condition, product type, project, date and content type to quickly pinpoint what's most relevant to your work.

Reports link to other related information you may find useful, and we give you an indicated reading time.

We've also launched three hubs, to date, which we've curated to collect a wealth of insight on hot topics we know are priorities for many of you. We add recordings of events and launches to the hubs, and pull out some of the key data points you need for making decisions.

4. Can I present data points you've published in a talk I'm giving, or add to an investment case?

Yes. We make everything we publish open access and it is intended to be actioned and used in policy making, investment cases and advocacy efforts. This is where the work we've done comes to life and makes a difference in decision making. To make this as easy as possible for you, we've recently introduced two new features:

  1. Zoomable graphs and tables in our digital reports so they're really easy to see
  2. Downloadable powerpoint slides with every graph and table, and the citation to the source report

5. How can I be alerted to new data and insights you publish?

Please join our mailing list. There's a link in the footer of every page on the website to our subscription form. You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can select your areas of interest to hear about.

We regularly blog and post news on the website with our reflections and response to recent events in global health. Our latest blog by our CEO, Dr Nick Chapman, outlines his thoughts on the state of R&D funding following recent decisions by the Trump administration and commits to a series of dialogues we are hosting to propose innovations in the R&D ecosystem.
